My family and I came to Idaho in April, 1990, at the request of the Idaho Conference of Seventh-day Adventists to build a radio station for them. My son’s were three and one and we left their grandparents behind in Michigan when we left. My wife believed it was a call from God on our lives. I thought she was crazy. We’ve lived in Idaho ever since and loved raising our boys here. Seems, once again she was correct.

I was born and raised in Springfield, MO in the middle of country. I thought it was a mostly normal childhood, filled with Little League and after school at the Boy’s Club. Course, five step-dads and seven schools from sixth grade to sophomore year in high school may have had an impact on my life. A counselor several years ago told me I might have developed some trust issues and probably have issues with authority, as well. Who knew God could use all of that stuff to make me a marginally effective radio manager?

I enjoy golf, reading, fishing, anything around or in water, being outside, playing with my kids, who are now taller and stronger than me, and traveling with my wife. I love to sing, especially with friends in church. I love words, both spoken and written, which makes being a radio guy a natural. I love to cook, again especially with friends and family.

And I love my job. I get to spend time with a half dozen highly creative and talented individuals who are as dedicated as I am to furthering the Kingdom of God through a radio ministry. We get to do radio that touches people’s lives for eternity. How cool is that?
