Ministry Update

KTSY Family Update

It’s been a couple of months since our last family financial meeting. I just wanted to update you on where KTSY is on the financial front.

When we last talked, the Family responded with an increase in pledge fulfillment rates and unsolicited gifts in February and March. Then apparently we all started thinking about taxes and the bad news we’ve been receiving the past few weeks on the economy. Because in April, we’ve received so far this month just over $20,000 in receipts. That’s about $45,000 less than we need to pay bills this month.

If you’re already part of the KTSY support Family, thank you so much for your faithful commitment to KTSY. Your prayers on our behalf would be greatly appreciated. If you are new to the KTSY Family or if it’s been a little while since you’ve invested financially in the KTSY ministry, now would be a great time for you to be involved. You can contribute online at www.895ktsy.org or call the station at 459-5879.

Awards That Really Matter

I guess congratulations are in order again for the KTSY Family. We’ve received official notice that KTSY is, for the third time now, the Gospel Music Association’s Station of the Year. We are, of course, gratified that our peers have noticed and rewarded our hard work and the excellence we strive for every day.

We also received another award this week, one that means much, much more to us and brought tears to our eyes. This award was a lengthy email of thanks from a grieving young mother over the loss of her newborn son and the part KTSY is playing in her life.

I praise the Lord for all you do. I thank you for your words, and for doing what you do everyday in sending the message of God’s love and compassion to so many who need it. In my heart, I believe without your words of encouragement, our journey down this long, hard road would have been a much harder, much rougher trip.

I’m continually amazed and humbled at how God uses this radio station. The things we sometimes take for granted, the songs we play, the words we say, are the very things the Holy Spirit uses to see Kingdom work done in the hearts of our audience.

Thanks again for allowing us into your hearts and homes and for making it possible for us to be here every day. Your trust and support is more than enough award for us.
