What is most important?
What is a win for KTSY? What really matters?
We had planning and visioning meetings as a staff a few days ago and we were discussing programming strategies, what we were going to do in the coming year. And the question was asked, “Mike, what is a win for KTSY? What really matters?”
I had to think for a moment, because the easy answers that boiled up quickly were more listeners, more money, more this, more that, more, more, more. But more is not what’s really important. After some reflection, I found the words.
Belonging. Eternity.
I want KTSY to be a place of belonging. A counselor would say it probably goes back to my childhood and five step-dads and longing to belong. Whatever the reason, I just know it is good to belong, because I do now. And I want the KTSY Family to be inclusive and a safe place to belong, no matter where you find yourself along your walk.
And everything we do should be about eternity. We have to be about Kingdom work. We either bring people a step closer to eternity or push them back with our words and actions. I want us to be about bringing eternity closer because that will be the ultimate belonging.
