Wow! What a blog. You have a real knack for making a blog readable and easy on the eyes. I am always interested in reading other sites about religion, they give me a lot to consider. I don't have time to read all of the articles here right now, I found this site when looking for something else on Bing, but I've bookmarked your homepage and will check back soon to see your latest thoughts. What is your preferred translation of the Bible? I think they are all good, don't really have a preferred one myself. I have a web site with scripture and related art on it. Please bookmark it - it as at www.GotTB.com. I just redesigned the site with a new look and feel, please let me know what you think of the new layout. God's Peace!

Your message today (July 14) was very well put. I agree with your comments about how we as a society have done nothing but put Michael Jackson down and labeled him a freak. People are so judgmental that it ridicules the very result of the product they shape. Society is what made Micheal what they have labeled a freak. I have noticed that many people close to my age (46) have a different view of MJ than do younger people. I think it's because we grew up watching a normal boy in a normal family sing normal songs on TV. We watched fame and fortune destroy MJ. ("What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?" Mark 8:36)

Lest we forget that we are to love the sinner and hate the sin. Remember, the sins that Michael allegedly committed are the same in Gods eyes as the sins most people think are insignificant.

One last thing. The truly revolutionary artists and inventors have been eccentrics. We all know God doesn't make mistakes. The sad thing is that MJ didn't use his incredible talents to worship the very God who blessed him with them.

Please keep up the good work for the good of the gospel. Please pray for my son who is in college at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa ID studying Christian Ministry. He is very solid in his faith, but the enemy is playing with him. Thank you.
Respectfully submitted,
Janetta Jones

Do you belive that when Christ died on the cross the law (Ten commandments) were done away with to the extent that we no longer need the commandments for Christ was the sacrafice for us I believe that the commandments are a sign for the Jews. What are your thougths as a Chaplin.

I completely agree with you! I am so glad that I am saved by Christ and Christ only.

I'm also excited that Christ does more than save me for eternity - He transforms me! Romans 3:31 says that faith in Christ is the only way to follow the law! That's because these promises are so amazing that we can't make them happen - He transforms us - not us transforming us - by His power! In fact Romans 8 takes it another step by declaring that it is through Him that we fulfill the requirements of the law.

WE ARE NOT SAVED BY KEEPING THE LAW! We are saved by God - and He saves us from death and sin! I can no more keep the law than I can save myself. But, praise God that He works in in ME!

i am so glad i am saved and now i live according to Christ. when Christ died on the cross the commandments were set aside and now we live for Him. I am so glad that the blood of Jesus saves us and not the 10 commandments cause if were then there would be less people to worship once the Lord comes down and takes us home.
